Create single panel cartoons in black and white. They weren't meant to be 'funny' from the outset as the mind was just supposed to wander during the creation stages.
In these i'm trying to pay attention to calligraphy, location and composition. Solid black areas were also a concern (still don't really know where to put 'em...) as I was trying to see how the eye moves though a panel.
The captions were separate and added later as in the previous exercise.
Simplicity, clarity and elegance were the goal... ha!
Good fun to do though...
